Credit default - £25 since 2007

I have just got my Noddle report, and it shows a default to O2 with a balance of £25, with a default date of 5th November 2007. It's registered at my previous address (I moved here in August 2007).
I take it's best just to wait and this will drop off in 2 months time?

What do you mean by best? You don't have any other option.
Id pay if off if i was you... I doubt they will but if you get a CCJ for it. You're screwed for another 6 years.0 -
I would pay it. For the sake of £25. They can still get a CCJ.0

I don't see why they would suddenly get a CCJ now. I wasn't even aware of it till yesterday. Haven't received any correspondence about it. I don't think they would sue for £25 anyway.0

It is very unlikely they would try to obtain a CCJ now, and the debt may well already be statute barred anyway.
Given the circumstances I would take no further action until this has dropped off your file.
If any debt collector starts chasing this (as a result of you confirming your current address this could happen) you'd then need to consider if the alleged debt would already be statute barred, or whether to ask them for proof of the alleged debt and how it arose (assuming you did not know/ do not agree that the debt is owed)A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0
