PayPal Dispute (update)

I've started other threads with more info, so this is just a summary!

Seller sold me a gift voucher that turned out to be stolen and worthless.

I started a chargeback with PayPal. They found in the sellers favour as he supplied proof of delivery, and closed the case.

I disputed the transaction with my credit card company, who after 4 months of arguing, refunded my money to me. This hinged on if Section 75 was valid, and eventually they refunded as a goodwill gesture as Section 75 doesn't apply.

PayPal then reopened the dispute on my account, but had the reason for dispute down as non-delivery. I phoned and e-mailed PayPal to point out this was wrong, but I was told I was not allowed to put my side of the story across and they would contact me for more information if needed.

PayPal had closed the case again in favour of the seller as he provided proof of delivery. They are now contacting my card company to resolve it, even though I removed details of my card from the account.

Where do I stand now?

I've never disputed the fact that the voucher was recieved. My complaint was because it was stolen and worthless. I feel annoyed that PayPal would not let me put my side of the story across, especially when they clearly had the wrong information.

Can I contact the financial ombudsman? Is there anything he can do?

Help appreciated. This has been an ongoing saga since December and I'm at the end of my tether with it :(

Police are not interested either. Tried a few times but local force refuse to get involved.
Here I go again on my own....

Phone the Police again, and this time tell them he was driving at 2 mph over the limit. You'll get a helicopter and 4 detectives on the case in no time.

i had problems with paypal a month or so ago which i posted on here. basically won an item off ebay, paid instantly with paypal, ebay mailed me day later saying seller was fradulent and dont pay. it was too late, they told me to get in touch with paypal. paypal found in my favour but said there was nothing they could do as he had emptied his account.

here is what i did and if i was you i would do it too. I emailed this guy very politely and asked him to refund the £390, too which the response was as expected f off. i therefore had no option but too get his contact details and again email him too let him know that i would have to come to his abode to get my goods or my money back as unfortunatly i would be out of pocket otherwise. i was very nice to the person just incase he wanted to be accuse me of threatening him. again the response was the same.

i then sent him a mail with a link to one of my companies, which is a security firm supplying doormen across various countiesand unless i recieved a postal order within 3 days for the full amount i would be asking some of my workmen to pop by and pick up my goods for me. 2 days it took to get my money back.

tell this person that you will be getting your money back at all costs, no matter what. do not threaten but make sure that he understands that you mean business now. jokers like him get away with it so they continue to do it. most of them are little tw#ts who are scared of their own fart. put your foot down
