Letting agent not protected tenants deposit
Comments

time to serve court papers i think. breach of contract
Looks like it mate!
Btw
1. Once the deposit has been insured by MYDEPOSITS....should I receive some kind of certificate? Or an official document from MYDEPOSITS. Personally I do not think an email from the Letting agent with a certificate number is not sufficient.
2. Is the L.A required by law to keep all tenants deposits in a separate client bank account?
There was a very interesting article on bbc r4...on the subject....but these estate agents ran off with £135k of 40 or so peoples' deposits.
Is only 10 mins long and quite succinct

Hi BD
It seems a while since you last posted on this - did it go cold or did you simply stop chasing for the return?
I ask because I have some similar issues and more recent experiences so wondered if you had chance to provide some / any additional information?

Hi there, same question from me.
Fight4Right, is your dispute with M&W?0 -
In short yes - I tried to reply by private mail but not sure if it worked - got some error message.
Maybe we need to chat more about this and work out what we can do - I have been given lots of other info as well0 -
hi there,
for further info I am attaching a link to CAG forum,:
http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?431434-Letting-Agent-not-protected-tenants-deposits-%28M-amp-W-Lettings%29/page9
The forum thread about M&W lettings at CAG has now been closed as the company is under investigation from the police.
It would appear that many others have fallen victims to the same company and I would like to make the people aware.
Best Wishes
