Well, the elation at having bagged the £10 discount soon wore off when I tried to book last night. The only place one can enter the code is in the 'gift voucher' box, which I duly did. I assumed then that the amount would be deducted at the end, but it wasn't. Pressed 'refund' in order to try again and now being CHARGED £10 for 'administration'. Very annoyed considering this was an issue with the website and not an error on my part.

    So instead of gaining £10, I've lost £10 :''(

The code should be input in the E-VOUCHER section which shows on the left after clicking on Loyalty/Account top right hand corner of the RSH page. Worked fine for me yesterday and was credited straightaway.

If you look back, someone posted a number to ring if there were problems perhaps you could try that.

If you selected postal delivery you might still be OK. The refund would only be processed when the tickets are sent back and you could use the voucher for another journey.

If you selected Ticket on Departure (i.e. collect at the station) and have not collected the tickets I am not sure how Redspottedhanky do it. They may just cancel the booking automatically. I think that is how Southern process their rainy day guarantee.

Sadly, I didn't get this box come up. I was looking throughout the process as to where I should input the code, and the only box that came up was the gift voucher box.

Unfortunately I opted to collect tickets because my journey is imminent (tomorrow). To refund the tickets, they charge £10 PLUS you have to print out the refund documents, fill them out, pick up the cancelled tickets from the train station, attach them to the form, send them off and pray that they get to their destination. If you thought yesterday was a bit of madness, imagine what happens when your code doesn't register and you request a refund!

Having said that, although I'm a little annoyed with RSH - being a long term customer of theirs - for making people jump through hoops to get a refund, I'm very grateful to MSE for giving us this opportunity. I might have lost a tenner this time, but have gained many times over from Martin's excellent newsletter offers and tips. Free sight test next week, yay!

Nope any changes once you have pressed the order button cost you £10 per ticket they say it is legislation that this is the case.

I thought it should be easy to change a ticket before printing but no, I messed up last time by not noticing the return was for the wrong day. Noticed straight after clicking the button but it would still have been £10 to change £11 ticket.
I started with nothing and I am proud to say I still have most of it left.

Don't know if any help but I just logged on to my account not using the "special link" from yesterday and can still access the E voucher section under my account. It is the very first option it is not under Personal details.

Could you not try again today and at least get your £10 credited so you break even?

I was so fed up last night that I ordered from another site. But I will keep the code for a future journey - if indeed it will still work and hasn't registered as 'used' now - and then that's me done with RSH x

I would try and register the code now, don't wait as it gets added to your e vouchers for future use and is valid until 2nd Jan 2014.

When you want to use it there is option while buying tickets to use evouchers but be warned once you get to the final page to input your card details it does look like you are going to be charged the full price but the e voucher is deducted ok.

    Good luck.

Agree with Tinyshoes above - I would use these asap.

Reason being, last time RSH decided to arbitrarily cancel all promo codes, and accused their entire customer base of fraud.

They then reinstated the offer a couple of days later, but a great many more people seemed to lose out that way.
