Economy/basic/value rice includes broken grains which makes the cooked dish more starchy and sticky. You won't have this problem with rice from Aldi or Lidl unless you buy their own, labelled value rice.0

I find Home Bargains is best and cheapest for Passata and tinned tomatoes (chopped, plum or cherry) if you are near a branch. If not, then go to Aldi!"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"0

Lidl's fresh produce is better quality than Aldi's IME.Value-for-money-for-me-puhleeze!

Just a word. Aldi have changed the quality of their 100g milk chocolate that used to be 30p.
It is now the worst Essential Basics chocolate I have ever tasted. It is now very gritty, ( beans not ground fine enough) , and a very cheap taste. _pale_
I have eaten over the years, cooking chocolate and cheap Xmas decorations that have tasted better. The more I live, the more I learn.
