    Morning all,

a day of normality for me today. Hubby is on a job and son is at college. I'm going to try and squeeze as much normality into my day as I can.

I need to make an appointment with my GP pretty soon but ive lost my login details. Well that's not strictly true, I know the original login details but they have changed them to a longer 8 digit code that I wrote down somewhere.

I've started early today. Kitchen floor has been cleaned to an inch of its life until it shone.

Vacuumed downstairs (good job my neighbour is deaf) theres not a dog hair in sight. Beds are stripped. Just the bathroom and upstairs to do now. I'm on a roll don't stop me or I might not start again.:(

Lovely sky Sistercas. Its dull and grey here. More rain no doubt!

Shepherds pie tonight. We were having it last night but I fell asleep when I should have been preparing it so we had chicken instead.:o

Have a good day all and if I fall asleep again... someone give me a prod will you?

Morning people. I just wanted to share a nice email i got this morning.
I gave away a bike on Freecycle, it must be at least 18ths ago now. The bike had been in the loft of ny last house for over 20yrs then when i moved was put into the loft here for perhaps another 3yrs (i'm a terrible hoarder), eventually i got it down and freecyced it to a young girl.
Anyway the girl wrote this morning to say she's moving to London so passed it onto her flatmate, but just to say 'Angus' (she named the bike) has been great and she's ridden it all over Liverpool and her friend will now look after it.
Considering how ungrateful some people are when you give things away on Freecycle isn't it heart warming when someone goes to the trouble to get in touch after 18mths.
Liverpool is one of the wonders of Britain,
What it may grow to in time, I know not what.

    Morning all!
Wet and wild again today, but more importantly, is it a full moon or something? DS is gutting his room of doom:eek: Obviously the meltdown I had the other day worked, since I told him if he didn't stop being a lazy selfish little person he wouldn't be staying here whilst I am on holiday!
Just had a text from my cousin to say she's going shopping in Glasgow later so will pop in for a visit, will be lovely to see her but better get the hoover out!!!
    Have a good day all!

  • Hi All,
Feeling so much better today. The district nurse has changed my vacuum pump from the really huge and heavy one for one that is about 3 inches square. Got it tucked up my knicker leg!:rotfl: It will make it so much easier for me though.
My house looks like a florist I have so many flowers! I have some lovely friends:A

    Hope everyone else is okay.

    Happy Birthday TTFTM's DH animated-smileys-birthday-043.gif

Persisting down here again, luckily it stayed dry while we were out doing the weekly shop.

I still haven't eaten lunch yet, so I will have to force myself in a while, I have no appetite and am not feeling to bright at the moment, I think it is because of the change in my diabetes meds so have made an appointment to see my doctor this evening.

DS's results for his engineering came today he got 2 distinctions and 2 merits in his modules with an overall score of triple pass there are 18 modules in the engineering course. I am really proud of him.

On his new course (Extended national diploma in I.T) he has started with C++ and he has run off with my book that I used when I was learning it, even though that was a long time ago, C++ has hardly changed according to his tutor.

Dinner tonight is chicken stew and dumplings, which I am going to prepare in a little while.

    Afternoon all,

Hugs for anyone not feeling great today especially your dh Luxor and happy Birthday to Mr TTFTM

Well quiet reigns once more. My brother was dropped safely at the airport ready for his long flight back to Oz. I love having him to stay, we are like a couple of silly children giggling and messing about but its nice to have the house back to ourselves and I think dh is glad to have me back to himself:o

I need to do a food inventory and get back on the OS wagon. I've also wrote my Christmas present list. We've cut it down just to immediate family, our children, grandchildren and mums and dads so it should be lot easier this year, although I've normally started by now.

I'm bored with my crochet so I fancy making something different and I'm definitely going to learn to do the ripple blanket.

Our youngest is working three nights this week and Saturday and Sunday at the hotel. I'm just worried about him managing his college work, as this year is a resit, but he tells me he is doing fine, we shall see.

I'm obliged to go for a meal on Saturday night. It's my stepsons birthday and he has chosen a very swanky restaurant in the VIP area. There are ten of us, his wife's mum is going and will be as usual dressed to the nines, she is a tv presenter very glamorous and a total bitc@ would it be awful to cry off. My dh really would like to go but I'm dreading it:(

Sailorsam that's lovely, good for you, I'm a great believer in Karma
Anyway enough waffle, have a lovely day whatever your up to x
