I had an Interlink delivery last week and I thought their system was amazing.

First I got an email telling me which day it was coming.

On the morning of the day in question I got an email giving me not only a one hour slot for the delivery but also the driver's name. (Not that I need to know the driver's name but, whatever.)

The delivery turned up 5 minutes into the allocated slot.

I thought at the time that if only all couriers could operate like this it would be a bit shot in the arm to online (and postal) trading. I'd happily pay an extra 50p for that level of service.

So, it's a nuisance that they changed your day (and doubly so that they didn't send you an email to let you know), but at least when they do deliver, you won't have to stay in for hours waiting.
There are two types of people in the world: Those that can extrapolate information.
  • I've had the same with two recent DPD deliveries. One hour slot (spot on both times), driver's name, delivery number x of y deliveries and a map showing the driver's current location.
