Issue with car purchase - Advice please

I purchased a car just over a week ago from a cardiff garage called C & N automotive, there was a rattle at tick over which the sales man told me was a loose heat shield. I purchased the car and a few days later took it for an oil and filter change. I was advised the noise was from the gear box, not a heat shield and was likely a dual mass fly wheel which is expensive to replace and can result in engine damage.
There was also a seized brake caliper which was so seized the wheel couldnt be turned by hand when the car was in the air. There was also two very worn track rod ends which would fail and MOT. I contacted the garage and they advised to return the car and it would be fixed, I did this and have been contacted today to say the brake has been fixed but they won't repair the flywheel, they even told me what the fault was but as the car drives they won't fix, if it fails within a month they will then repair. They also told me I'd be charged 25 a day if the car is not collected within 48 hours...
What are my rights with this situation, I have given them the opportunity to repair and also to just return my money but they will do neither. I will have to collect the car tomorrow but understandably I am not happy to just accept this outcome.
Any help appreciated muchly!
Have spoken to the guy again on the phone and he has offered to put a 12 month extended warranty on the vehicle instead of repairing as the vehicle drives so if it was to go it will be covered. I have told him I will let him know tomorrow, the car cost me 1900 so I think this is an acceptable outcome, what are the feelings on this?

Does the warranty cover the flywheel? I'd check carefully.Thinking critically since 1996....0

A DMF can last for many miles. My sister drove around with hers clattering for so long she killed the startermotor.
DMF change is fairly common and to be expected as with a clutch. You need to budget for them when buying a car.
Once done though you know its been done and get many years of use from it.
If you do manage to get them to replace the DMF they wont replace the rest of the clutch.
So sooner or later your going to get the bill anyway.
Extended warranty with an aftermarket company? The DMF is probably not included.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -
I got the guy to check with the her warranty company that this would be covered which he advised he checked and it would be as it's the gold top level product he's providing. I have this as an email0
