Are Lloyds Replacing cards or not with the Re branding ?

From the Web Site:

Will my debit card, credit card and cheque book change?

You can continue to use your Lloyds TSB cards and cheque books as normal. When they run out, they will be replaced with Lloyds Bank branded ones.

Now my LloydsTSB Premier Duo Mastercard has a crack on the back, its fine for Chip and Pin but it could never swipe, so today I called them up to ask if I should wait until Monday to order one and was told that all Credit and Debit cards are being replaced anyway within the next 2 to 3 weeks !.

So which is it, Website says won't be replaced until they run out, staff says everyone will get one in the next 2 to 3 weeks !.

And yes I am staying with Lloyds my branch is not moving to TSB.

No, they are being replaced upon expiration. You were given incorrect information.

I'm pretty sure I've read that the new cards already have Lloyds bank branding anyway.

The official launch of lloyds bank is the 23 September.

So I will imagine any stationary ordered on it after this date will be lloyds bank branded.

I received a new debit card this week and it was still lloyds tsb branded.

What difference does it make? It's a card, as long as it works what does it matter.....is it really that important?
  • The number of debit cards some of us have on here maybe they want to play snap with them

Or poker. I'd imagine more than a few people could manage to get a full house.

Have I got the first new debit card then? It arrived today.

It's very dark green with a shiny black horse on it. Says Lloyds Bank in capitals on the front and lloydsbank.com on the back. Phone numbers unchanged. Cheque guarantee hologram is gone. Card number same as before except the last two digits. Not contactless.

Did your old one expire? This came mind as you mentioned Cheque Guarantee, which has been gone for ages.

Does 4 FlexDirects beat 5 platinum credit cards?
