Been waiting almost 30 days for a refund

I had a car breakdown policy, but the company wanted me to pay an extra premium before they'd start my policy so i canceled it (It was within the 14 day cooling off period) They told me i would get a full refund but i have been waiting almost 30 days and i haven't received it.

What can i do ? I've already made 2 phone calls to the company about this refund. I can't keep ringing them because it's costing me a load on my phone bill.

Send them a letter.

I could be waiting another month for even a reply to my letter. I need to get this money back ASAP. What are my rights when it comes to getting a refund ? I thought trading standard laws or consumer rules were a company has 30 days to give you your money back.
