vax sale 12 - 16 sept 2013

Dear All,
I was lucky enough to buy a Vax bargain using the "summersale13" password between the above dates.
I bought the Zen Pet cylinder vacuum cleaner which stated that a "free £50 hand held cleaner" would come with this item.
I received the cylinder on 18/9/13, but no hand held.
I spoke to a Vax representative, who informed me that I would not receive the hand held as I bought the vacuum cylinder in the "yard sale".
The vacuum cylinder is now 'out of stock' on the Vax website, advertised at the full retail price AND still with the offer of the "free £50 hand held cleaner".
Can you help, or have I been tricked by the Vax advertisement and not able to read this 'invisible' sale condition.

Are you sure the free hand held cleaner was mentioned on the yard sale site?

I've ordered a V-125a carpet cleaner in the vax yard sale and whilst I can't definitively state this is the case for the vacuum cleaner you have ordered as I didn't look at those, I did notice before ordering my cleaner that whilst the main vax online shop mentioned the free hand held, the yard sale site did not, so I made the assumption that I would not receive the free hand held if I ordered through the yard sale site.

For me the yard sale price was £35 cheaper than the sale price on the main site and I decided I'd rather have the £35 than a hand held that I didn't really need.

I did check the T&Cs with regard to returns before I ordered as I didn't have a chance to discuss the purchase with my other half before ordering and didn't want to risk waiting and them running out of stock, so I do know that you can return your order if you wish and vax will refund the full amount including all the postage costs, so this might be an option if the hand held (or lack of it) is a deal breaker for you.

Out of interest when did you place your order? I ordered mine late afternoon on the Thursday and had a confirmation email but still haven't had an email to confirm my order has been dispatched.

I ordered mine last thursday and have not recieved a dispatch notification either, and the website is down.. I may go and check to see if the money has been taken....

Ok, I'm glad I'm not the only one.

I have however received an automated email from UPS this evening with a tracking number, although at this stage when I enter this on the UPS site it just says "A UPS shipping label has been created. Once the shipment arrives at our facility, the tracking status--including the scheduled delivery date--will be updated."

I'll check it again in the morning to see if it is showing a delivery date by then.
