Advice on Dell desktop purchase

I've seen the deals on the dmxdimension website and the offers end today and not sure which one to choose - the E521 or C521. I've given them both the same spec (64x2 4400 processor, 320gb HDD, 2048RAM, 256MB Graphics Card and both have a DVD-RW).

The only difference that I can see between these 2 deals is that the E521 comes with a 20" monitor (the C521 comes with a 19") and the C521 is a slimline case which requires 1/2 size cards should I want to upgrade anything. The E521 comes out at £388 and the C521 at £390. Any advice?

Hi I'm also planning to buy one maybe today, but you can customise it/upgrade elements before you order. Personally I will exclude a monitor as I have a good enough monitor, and can always buy one seperate but cheaper.

Are there any other offer/voucher codes, or is the ending today offer the only one?

I've chosen the C521 as basic and then included additional customisation to bring the total to £422 inc. VAT (and free delivery). These are my choices - what do you think?

Pretty sure Dell are a Quidco merchant if that helps, get a few % cashback.

I'm just going through quidco now.. Pigsback is 5% but in vouchers, and quidco 4.5% before VAT, but in cash.

davidl - erm, not sure if I missed something, but the deal I just got compared to yours included an upgraded processor (4400), Vista Premium as opposed to basic, a 20" TFT, same RAM and a 320GB hard drive - all for £423.

The price you paid definitely didn't include a monitor?

Hi that is good - I didn't end up ordering in the end. I started looking at the Hewlett Packard - HP DX2300, which has Intel Core Duo E4300, 2048kb cache, 250 gb hard drive, vista premium no monitor etc..
PC World even have that5 as £431 inc VAT, so I'm sure I could find cheaper. I'm looking for something that I could get in the next few days if possible, and can only be delivered evenings/weekend.
There doesn't seem to be any stores that you can collect in person that have a good desktop package for under £500.
