The BIS have eventually confirmed they sent the email on 13 September 2013 which set off the alarm......
..So nothing was compromised was it .......

Can you provide anything to substantiate that?

The Dept. apparently sent a print of the email by post.
So, your email service has been hacked but everything else is fine ?
The absence of reply suggests it was.

I'll take that as a no then.

Maybe the recipient's PC is already infected with some other virus. Then all information it needs are already there...

This is twisted logic since the'OPs' computer sounded the alarm.

You MSE geeks just can't believe the Government may be sending out VIRUS contaminated emails as though you have vested contacts in Government circles.
Tell me what you know about 'Sleeping Trojans' and how you pick them out.

The printed email tallies with actual emails being transmitted at the time.

You opinion is irrelevent as the matter has gone back to the BIS.

To be honest, this whole thread is irrelevant.

    No it's not.

If you can't answer the point just say so.
the Government may be sending out VIRUS contaminated emails
    and you call it irrelevent...

You've done nothing but provide hearsay and conjecture - where are the facts & evidence?

"I understand...", "...what appears to be..." "I get the impression...", "...apparently sent...".
Tell me what you know about 'Sleeping Trojans' and how you pick them out
I don't understand the relevance of your reference to "sleeping trojans"? Zero Access is a rootkit. Infected hosts are part of a botnet, with the computer being used to commit clickfraud amongst other criminal activities.

If you don't believe it matters not - providing you with evidence would clearly be a waste of time
  • What a pointless thread. Arguing with yourself. People here try to help, nothing more or less. Just move on or go start a conspiracy website if it's that big a deal to you
