LLoydsTSB average PPI payments

I have made a claim against 3 old loans with LLoydstsb, all 3 have been upheld however 2 of the 3 have been awarded an average payment becouse ....

"Due to the passage of time, we (lloyds) no longer have any detailed records relating to your loan accounts ... blah blah ... we are unable to accuratly give you an correct payment etc..."

I have received £1766 for 2 of the loan and i was wondering if anyone else has come across this process, do you think i should accept or ask them to carry on digging and find the information or just accept it ????

You are lucky. Most firms will not pay out if they cannot prove the payment made. Lloyds are one of the few that will pay out. They work out the amount based on the information available (such as the PPi rate based on the amount borrowed). It may or may not be accurate but its as close as you are going to get.

If you have records, they can use your records.
