Depends where you are.
I had my whole house re-wired for just over £1600 inc VAT. That was for a 3 bed semi and included loads of sockets, lights, smoke detectors, extractors, consumer unit, all certs and notifications etc. My job included all chasing etc but not the making good after as I did that myself. Would have probably added about £300 to the price.
Your LED lights will cost about £35 (maybe less to the trade) each for good haler ones (make sure he is using a good brand as come of the cheaper ones aren't great).0 -
I'm on the border of Essex/East London. I didn't realise this would make a difference to cost but I'm guessing being near London bumps it up slightly?
The LED down lights are good quality ones, he showed me an example, can't remember the name but they looked great.0 -
Seems a lot, we had five quotes (in similar area to you) for a full rewire and they ranged between £2500 and £5200! The kitchen was always the most expensive part on the ones with a breakdown but more like £1000.
I would give you details of the person we have chosen but as it hasn't been done yet I can't really recommend unless you want to ask me in a couple of weeks0
