Gas boiler

Hope i'm posting this in the right forum?

I'm wanting to get my gas service looked at as I dont think its working as great as it should and i'd also like to get the boiler insured. I've looked at the british gas reviews for homecare and they seem to be pretty awful. Anyone able to recommend a company? I'm in Renfrewshire if that helps? Thanks in advance!

Hi Ess...you need a local plumber to do a gas service, £60 here in Norfolk.
And the cheapest cover , and a condition of which is to have had a service within the last 12 months, is, Swinton.
Got mine with discount bringing it to £30. There is a sticky up top somewhere and the conclusion seems to be put money aside each year to pay for repairs as you go.
Don't know about Homecare, but like you say tis BG.

I've been with British Gas (well Scottish Gas) for years now and have never had any problems. It gets serviced every year, and they come out, usually the next day, if there's a problem with the heating. It might be more expensive but i'm happy enough. It gives me peace of mind.
