Three hoovers in 15 years does not seem unreasonable to me, yes all appliances break down but with what frequency? The belt on this machine is the last straw, bits have been falling off it since day one (I suppose this will make it easier to put in the bin!) The purpose of the thread was to discuss a poor product/brand and very poor customer service. There are numerous other forums on the web where customers are complaining about this product with exactly the same fault, so there must be a lot of homes out there with debris on the carpet jamming these machines causing the belts to break!!0

- Plastic bits keep breaking off (I suppose this makes it lighter therefore more efficient?)
- Filters need cleaning (washing!) after every use unless you want loss of suction

I think you're expecting too much from a more basic range vacuum because you are used to premium range ones.
If it's used correctly the filters won't need washing after every single use, something the vacuum is picking up must be causing the filters to block.
Also you are still saying it needs a new belt every 12 weeks, you don't know if it will or not. Replace the original one with the new one they are sending and maybe the next belt will last a year or more.
Maybe to you thee vacuums in 15 years is reasonable but my own dyson is over 10 years old, my parents one is almost 5 years and running well, I've seen lots of premium ones last 10-15 years without a problem so 5 years is a short life for one in my eyes.0
