Installing RAM on an Acer aspire 3680 series

Has anyone done it before?

I have opened up the panel on the bottom like it says in the manual but I cant see were the new RAM goes :sad:

Maybe the RAM is accessed under the keyboard? I will be really grateful if anyone can let me know how they got on with installing the RAM in this laptop.

    Perhaps there is an existing stick of RAM in there ?

    How much memory does the laptop have?

    ive got an acer aspire 1670 and you need to remove the fan cover underneath to get to the ram on one side
    to get the other ram stick you need to remove the trim above the keyboard where the power buttons etc are, then remove the keyboard

    whoops, sorry, I could have sworn that I deleted this message! I had been staring at the place where the RAM goes all day but it was in a horizontal postition rather than the upright I have always seen it before! Thanks for the advice anyway!
