Hi all, new kitchen install price from Wickes, this is with them doing the install as well. As yet we havent priced with other suppliers, mainly due to the fact the wife is set on this particular kitchen..
After initial price of around 16k.... this has been reduced to 8k for everything, but doesnt include any electrical/gas/plumbing work that may need doing. The 'non standard work' remains a price to be settled with the fitter, if /whenthere is any work that would need doing. Any thoughts / advice very gratefully received, thanks very much.
Appliances:
Rangemaster Toledo 110 dual fuel range
Rangemaster Toledo 110 Extractor
Worktops:
Slab Tec (approx 6M) with drainer grooves cut in
Slab Tec upstands
Worktops with shark nose detail
Floor Units
2x Corner base units with magic corners
2x 150 pull out base units
1x 300 base unit
1x 500 base unit
1x 600 2 Drawer pan unit
Wall Units
1x 625 Angled wall unit
1x 500 Wall unit
2x 600 Hinged door unit
Lights
6x under cabinet led spots
12x plinth led
Sink
Stainless Steel Bowl & mixer tap
All plinths and cornice

Not sure anybody can give you any advice unless you have a quote or estimate listing required works. I know when I had B&Q to quote for a new kitchen earlier this year, kitchen units were going to be approx £8k with me supplying own appliances etc. & fitting, incl electrics, gas work, tiling & other works needed to rearrange kitchen pushed the approx price up to around the £13k figure. It's a fairly small kitchen too.
In the end I went to Benchmarx (who do same kitchens as Wickes) got my kitchen units for around £4k & got my own tradesmen to fit & do all other required works & the total came to around £8k all in, so far less than if I'd gone with the B&Q supply & fit option. The bigger the bargain, the better I feel.
I should mention that there's only one of me, don't confuse me with others of the same name.0 -
If you are set on the Forli, you are rather stuck with Wickes. Not even Benchmarx do it now. It is quite an unusual door for that market sector. Can look stunning in the right setting.
Has your DC been to the house, if so he/she should be able to give you a good idea of what the electrical etc. work should cost.
Am a Wickes DC and am normally within a few quid either way on my estimates for kitchens (bathrooms still catch me out sometimes!).
Baring in mind you have a Rangemaster and templated Apollo Slabtech worktops in there with an expensive edge detail. I Think that your DC must be in a very generous mood and would bite his or her hand off!0 -
Thanks all, just to clarify,
Appliances are £2100, could get these slightly cheaper but only by about £20
Wickes Labour, to include removal and new fit, £1900, approx 10 days work
All Cabinets and worktops etc £4000,
Thanks0 -
I know where you can get that door in a real veneer in matt, not the foil door wicks offer.
They also offer real veneers with a new handleless system not offered in shops (gloss or matt) and can also grain match your units if you have a crown cut pattern so the grain flows from door to door.
let me know if you want to know0 -
Thanks evokit, we have decided now not to persue this particular kitchen and look at alternatives, not from diy sheds.... thanks0
