Looking for fundraising ideas for 2014 London Marathon
Options
Hi all!
I have a place in the 2014 London Marathon for a charity called Bliss, registered charity number:1002973.
Bliss is a charity which cares for premature babies. As myself and my 2 sisters were born premature and were all lucky to have survived, this is a charity which means a lot to me and I would like to raise money to be able to help other babies who, without the help and support, would not be as lucky.
As I have a charity place, I have to raise £1,000 by 17th January 2014 and another £1,500 by the end of June 2014 (£2,500 in total). I am looking for more fundraising ideas any of you lovely MSE'rs will be able to help me with?
I would be grateful for any help you could provide, and also if you could spread the word around. For more information, please visit https://www.justgiving.com/emma-lane9.
Thanks!
Emma

Maybe some of the ideas from these websites might help you:
http://www.better-fundraising-ideas.com/charity-fundraising-ideas.html
http://www.cafod.org.uk/Fundraise/Guide-to-fundraising/A-Z-of-fundraising-ideas
Or, just do a search in your fave search engine for 'fundraising ideas'.
BTW, I've never understood why you have to raise that much money to participate in the Marathon for a charity. Wouldn't it be better to raise £2500 outside of and without taking part in the Marathon.
That way, your chosen charity receives more money, because that don't have to pay admin and entrance fees out of the money you've raised to pay for you to take part in it.
Or, is my interpretation in the way in which these things work just incorrect?0
