I am posting on behalf of a friend who has had to cancel her holiday to attend her son's graduation.
She bought 2 train tickets for 23rd june/07, time 10.22hr. arriving 14.40hr. from Lancaster to heathrow (ONE WAY).

She wishes to recover her money (£74) or whatever she can get.
Apparently you can used this tickets to put it against a more expensive ticket.Please p.m. me if anyone is interested.

I have also e-mailed my brother who lives in australia as my friend has also had to recover the cost of her time share holiday bookings .That's another story.Apologies in advance if I have committed any posting offence.

No - not if they haven't been used at all. It's illegal to sell eg the return half only.
I don't think that's correct, for example:
