We are planning to re-do the back of our house. There is currently a small utility room extension and a conservatory, which we plant to knock through and turn into one big kitchen extension - possibly going a bit further out than the current layout.
I know the vague cost per square metre of extensions, but presumably that is building from scratch. In our situation is it likely to increase the costs because they will have to remove the existing buildings or will it be cheaper because they already have at least some of the foundations in place?

Depends on where you are - always cheaper up north. I would say £2,000 a square metre.0

Thats a fair bit above most estimates. Is that taking into account the removal of existing structures I mentioned?0
