or m and s who are underwritten by axa?
Sorry if this is meant to be posted in another thread but I read what I thought might be relevant posts but couldn't really find what I wanted.
I would like to know if people would use Privilege, M&S or Axa for their buildings and contents insurance? I get the feeling these days that most insurers will try to avoid paying out citing wear and tear. I hope not to have to claim and like you all don't want to have a stressful experience if I do. Any recommendations?
Thanks!

All are specified perils policies and so will only cover you if it can be substantiated that the cause of damage/ loss is one of the causes they explicitly stated is covered (fire, flood, storm, theft etc)
Even the more expensive All Risks policies for Mid Net Worth and above policies exclude wear and tear. Home insurance is not a substitute for home maintenance.
Have insured with all three that you mention but never had a claim with any of them so no real test. They are all 5* products but Axa/ M&S certainly used to have much higher inner limits so meaning less items have to be individually declared etc0 -
