holiday refund

am i entitled to my money back, we went to pontins and on arrival was mortified to find accommodation and site so dirty all around so complained to management and declined to stay and went home same day. I have wrote to them on several occasions with no luck in getting a refund as they disagree with our complaint. Is there anything else i can do.

Do you have evidence of the dirt? Did you give them the opportunity to rectify the problem?
I am not doubting you, Pontins is the pits, but you will need some evidence if you wish to take your case to small claims.0 -

no photos i know im stupid not to but the day was a disaster and when we complained to management they said to write to them for a refund knowing now it was just a fob off. Lots of other people that day were also complaining about the same thing so they had a cheek to disagree with our complaint.0

Write to them again, recorded delivery and keep copies.
Of course they are going to disagree with your complaint, but you have nothing to back it up with. Neither did yu give them the chance to rectify it.

As an aside, we went to Southport Pontins last year and it was modern, clean, staff and customer service was great.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.

Pontins won't give you a refund. Their business model is to sell cheap, poor quality accommodation - which is what you got. Just read Tripadvisor.
The only way you'll get a refund is via small claims court. Without proof you're onto a loser (although I have no doubt you're telling the truth!) so your only real option is to write it off to experience.0 -

I can't decide if you have very low standards or just got incredibly lucky.
The site was a run down hole when I stayed there about a decade ago. From the outside nothing appears to have changed, and the online reviews for it are appalling.0 -

I went a few years ago, and although it wasn't 5* quality, it was certainly acceptable.
I think that people maybe go with high expectations, but I certainly wouldn't call it dirty. The facilities inside the clubhouse were to a good standard.0 -

Well, yu are talking ten years ago Im talking abut last year when all the chalets were being refurbished. I can only speak as I find.
