Morning! Hi Moominmama! Thanks for saying hello!
I found my phone! I wear heels to work, but sometimes take comfy shoes with me just in case. My phone must have slipped inside one of my shoes inside my bag. Bf found it under the bed after the low battery message started beeping. He think I'm losing the plot now!
I'd better go and do some work, I think I'll start with the paperwork.Nationwide cc - Balance 7/1/14 £2720.17 - Current balance £2714.10Halifax cc - Balance 7/1/14 £2779.86 - Current balance - £2751.43Savings - Balance 7/1/14 £750.00 - Current balance - £4000 -
What a day!
1. [STRIKE]Finish friend's paperwork[/STRIKE] just finished
2. [STRIKE]Paint coving in spare room[/STRIKE] done plus painted coving in smallest room
3. [STRIKE]Give walls a second coat[/STRIKE] done
4. [STRIKE]Finish ironing[/STRIKE] done plus ironed work clothes
5. [STRIKE]Cook roast dinner[/STRIKE] (day 1 for my chicken!) done
6. [STRIKE]Check online banking[/STRIKE] done
7. [STRIKE]Make packed lunches for work on Sat[/STRIKE] done
8. Extra job - I changed the bed
Our dinner was lovely, I don't know why I don't do it more often. BF picked all the meat off the chicken for me (I'm rubbish at that job!) and its safely in the fridge with the leftover spuds, cabbage and carrots AND the carcass ready for boiling to make soup.
The next few days menu is now looking like:-
Saturday - Chicken Curry (DS2 coming round and he doesn't like bubble and squeak). While the curry's cooking I'll boil the carcass to make the stock
Sunday - Leftover chicken, spuds, carrots and cabbage all fried together with some onion etc to make bubble & squeak
Monday - Hopefully chicken soup. The plan is to throw it all in the slow cooker before I go to work.
I found a recipe last night on the OS thread for Muesli Flapjacks and I had all the ingredients in the cupboard so I gave them a go and they were yummy! I managed to save a couple for tomorrow's lunchboxes, but BF and I have scoffed the restI think next time I need to make double quantities and hide them as soon as they come out of the oven!
The result of all this "saintlyness" is that I'm so tired I can hardly move!
Will I be able to keep this up? I doubt it very muchNationwide cc - Balance 7/1/14 £2720.17 - Current balance £2714.10Halifax cc - Balance 7/1/14 £2779.86 - Current balance - £2751.43Savings - Balance 7/1/14 £750.00 - Current balance - £4000 -
Good morning!
Why do days off always go so quickly?
It's back to work for me today for a five day stint, after which I have two days off, work a seven day stint, then it's off on holiday :T
I haven't lost the "huge" amount of weight I was planning to lose when we booked back in Feb but I have lost 2 stones and that's good enough for now!
We were supposed to have a nice day here today, but it's wet and foggy......yuk!
Best go and get ready now, will try to avoid the coffee trap xNationwide cc - Balance 7/1/14 £2720.17 - Current balance £2714.10Halifax cc - Balance 7/1/14 £2779.86 - Current balance - £2751.43Savings - Balance 7/1/14 £750.00 - Current balance - £4000 -

Fed up really doesn't describe how I'm feeling right now but if I used the words I want to use I'd probably be thrown off MSE!!!!
I had a good day yesterday, I managed to avoid the coffee shop and didn't spend a penny. I spent the evening sorting through my holiday clothes and had an early night.
So far so good, but then I got a phone call about 4.30am, DS3 was attacked outside a nightclub. He was set on by six or seven lads and has a broken nose. I'm so angry, why can't lads just go out and have a good time? AND if they feel the need to fight why six against one? Don't get me wrong, he'd never go looking for trouble, but my boy is no lightweight and knows how to handle himself, but six against one??! No chance!! Bloody cowards :mad:
Anyway, we live in the middle of nowhere so I had to make a 2 hour round trip to pick him up and now I have to go to work! Apparently two PCs saw it happen, but told DS3 there was nothing they could do about it!! It beggars belief!! I'm so angry, isn't their job supposed to be protecting people, they're quick enough to give you a speeding ticket!
I'm sorry for ranting this is supposed to be a money saving diary, not a ranting mum diary! I probably shouldn't drink anymore coffee before I go to work
I had just enough diesel to take me to payday, but now I'll have to fill up the car on the way to work.
I hope I don't get any awkward customers today, or I'm likely to burst into tearsNationwide cc - Balance 7/1/14 £2720.17 - Current balance £2714.10Halifax cc - Balance 7/1/14 £2779.86 - Current balance - £2751.43Savings - Balance 7/1/14 £750.00 - Current balance - £4000 -
Awe no it's every mums worst nightmare :-( my thoughts are with you no doubt if it was a police officer being attacked it would have been a different story !! Hugs xSPC 084, wloss 4lbs/35lbs, no hair dye 2016 10/12 :j,0

Good morning!
DS3 much better today and one good thing to come out of it is that he's decided to spend more time with me and less round his dads. I know he's 18 and an adult but I keep more of an eye on him!
He doesn't need to be around "friends" who go home in a taxi and leave two of the party behind!
Anyway enough of that, time for a new list.
Things to do today:-
1. Check online banking
2. Post eBay parcels
Short list today, but I'll probably think of something else.
My chicken is on day 4 now. I have chicken soup in the slow cooker for tonight made out of the stock. Hope it tastes as good as it smellsNationwide cc - Balance 7/1/14 £2720.17 - Current balance £2714.10Halifax cc - Balance 7/1/14 £2779.86 - Current balance - £2751.43Savings - Balance 7/1/14 £750.00 - Current balance - £4000 -
I'm back again and it's been a while!!
We had a lovely holiday, spent a bit more than we should, and now it's time to knuckle down and start paying off and saving up.
It's been a roller coaster couple of weeks, my dad's been in hospital, but is coming home today so there hasn't been much order to my shopping and cooking this week, meaning we've had a couple of takeaways!
I get paid in Thursday so this means a clean sheet. I need to list my debts and work out a plan of action.
I've already listed a few items on eb*y and have loads more to list, so watch this space.
I've lost contact with most of my friends between one thing and another so I'm sorry but I'll be here bending your ears most daysNationwide cc - Balance 7/1/14 £2720.17 - Current balance £2714.10Halifax cc - Balance 7/1/14 £2779.86 - Current balance - £2751.43Savings - Balance 7/1/14 £750.00 - Current balance - £4000 -
I don't think I've got the hang of this regular posting busines yet! I can't believe its been so long
I've been reading other people's diaries, but for some reason can't summon up the energy to do something about my own debts!
To be fair, my dad's been in hospital last week, so I've had more important things to deal with, but I feel like I've got my oomph back this week, so here goes!
I got paid on Thursday, and paid all bills for this month, but I'm down to a few pounds now till next payday. As soon as I catch up with myself, I'm going to list all my totals so hopefully when its all down in black and white, I'll have to do something positive about them instead of sitting here thinking about them:o
I have two storecards with about £1500 owing between them. I was wondering if it was better to pay these off with my credit card, then look for a 0% balance transfer?
On the plus side, I sold 4 items on Eb*y and made about £60. This has been portioned out between savings accounts to cover emergency fund (£20) Christmas (£20) and £20 towards next month's bills, so I can hopefully overpay on one of the cards.
We got our electricity bill the other day and was really happy to see we're almost £100 in credit. To be honest, I was dreading this one because I've been using the tumble dryer more than I should these last few weeks.
Right, almost time to go back to work - things to do today
1. List a few more bits on Eb*y
2. Keep up to date with online banking.
3. Work out a menu plan based on what we have in the oven
4. Find something to do with the surplus eggs we have in the fridge.
Ooh, just thought of something, I could make a quiche then freeze it till its needed.
Time up gotta go, I hope everyone else is having a good day xNationwide cc - Balance 7/1/14 £2720.17 - Current balance £2714.10Halifax cc - Balance 7/1/14 £2779.86 - Current balance - £2751.43Savings - Balance 7/1/14 £750.00 - Current balance - £4000
