Amazon GTA5 pre-order problems.

Pre-ordered this for my son back in August.
Was expecting delivery today.
Just received an email from them to say it has been returned to them as undeliverable! :mad:
No attempted delivery has been made to me and the tracking number Amazon recorded is one digit short!

They have no idea where it is and they are now out of stock.
They said it may still arrive!

To top it all it is my son's birthday today and he was so pleased he'd have this for his birthday.
I may have to go to Tesco to see if they still have a copy and get it before he gets home from college.
It will cost me more money, which Amazon have said they will pay difference.

However, I *think* there was a pre-order bonus for the Xbox version.
If so, please could someone tell me what it was and if it was an add on, how much the extra would cost to buy as I want them to reimburse me for that too.

PS has anyone else had the same problem? I'm wondering if it is a stock level problem and I'm being fobbed off.

Pretty sure the pre-order bonus was the Atomic Blimp. There's a separate card in the box with a code on it that you enter into the PS Store/Marketplace.

If I was you I'd be on my way to Tesco's to pick a copy up. Send Amazon's copy back when it arrives.

I don't honestly know, but over on the GTA forums people have gone to Tesco/Asda/Sainsbury's and been given the pre-order bonus whether they pre-ordered or turned up this morning.

All it is is a code that puts a flyable blimp in the game for you.

Clutter free - they put two preorder bonus codes in mine by accident so I got spare one for you free if you don't get one,just let me know.

Bought mine over the counter in Asda this morning (no preorder) and that includes the atomic blimp code for xbox... so its probably not such an 'exclusive'...

I wouldn't even bother with the pre order bonus. The game will be good enough without that. Send Amazon copy when it gets to you and make a complaint about the poor service. Go to Asda or Tesco or somewhere like that to get it. Asda is usually good.

Post has been. No game.
Well just had an email from Amazon saying they've refunded me in full for my return!
How they have it back already when I should have only received it today I don't know.
This is my first and last Amazon pre-order.
I usually go to Game but Amazon were cheaper this time.

Sounds like a courier problem, but agree Amazon are responsible.

On the flip side I ordered a PS3/GTAV bundle yesterday lunchtime and it arrived today (In N. Ireland).
