Balance Transfer a car loan

Hi, I've just discovered that a car finance deal I took out 2 years ago has 11% APR when I thought it was 5% so I'm looking for a credit card that will let me transfer the balance to a 0% deal, preferably for at least 24 months as that's how long I have left on the finance. Are there any credit cards that will let me do this? Thanks!

5% 'fixed rate' equates to around 11% 'APR'.

Car salesmen will often quote 'fixed rate' (can you see why? ;)), but at the end of the day the agreement you sign HAS to state the 'APR'. Read it more closely next time. :)

  • Thanks, I won't make that mistake again! The daft thing is it was the finance deal we negotiated on as he was being a bit tight with the part exchange amount he was offering me so I thought I'd got a better deal than if I'd just taken a loan. Even more annoyed it's taken me 2 years to find out! You're right though, my paperwork for the car does state both figures, I just didn't notice it.
