catch22

On a poster advertising 'membership offers' it clearly stipulates 'receive £60 of goodies' After receiving the goodie bag the three items;bag, towel and head phones would cost £23 if bought in their shop. Where is the other £37's worth?

I would also have saved a fortune of money by not joining. I always think it is amusing all these people turning up in their cars trying to park as close to the door as possible ... why not simply walk to the gym and back home every night, no need to go in ... good exercise and is free.
IvanI don't care about your first world problems; I have enough of my own!0 -
When I joined I got a bag, headphones, water bottle, sweat towel, couple of day passes for your mates and some sunbed/beauty vouchers.
I know the water bottles and headphones are £5-£7 each and were in short supply not so long ago. You also have to pay for guest passes.
I'd go back and check, sounds like some of the stuff was missing.:idea:I got an idea, an idea so smart my head would explode if I even began to know what I was talking about:idea:0 -
Dose anyone know the fitness first membership prices?
When I joined I got 3 months membership for £27-50 per month.
After the 3 months when i went to renew they could not work out why I was paying £27-50
They told me as I was paying this amount, they would continue my membership at this piice.
Loooking at there web site there is no mention of how much membership prices are.
It seems to me that they charge however much there membership team can get away with.GONE ENGLAND0 -

I think membership prices vary from club to club."An eye for an eye leaves the whole world blind" - Mahatma Gandhi0 -

And all those girls who wear perfect make up to exercise, have perfect hair and never break into a sweat (ok I admit I'm a little jealous!!)
I find I get very good arm muscles from opening bottles of wine (I have a very basic corkscrew!) And the effect of red wine on stress is amazing
And I never get bored like I did in the gym...0 -
The London Fitness First clubs charge more than the regional ones. If you live in London you could make a trip to a regional club to register. Then you can use your membership card in any of their clubs - even in Europe. If you commit to a year's membership its even cheaper still. It is also worth checking whether they offer a corporate membership for the company you work for. These are discounted.
When I enquired about a particular London Fitness First they charge about £42 per month for full membership. Another London club charged £38.
I personally feel Fitness First is good value for money in all their clubs compared to the extortionate rates being charged at other clubs. The main difference is FF have no swimming pools but that doesn't bother me.The reason people don't move right down inside the carriage is that there's nothing to hold onto when you're in the middle.0
