Morning Diary,
Just checking in to report 3 more NSD's since last week (26,27 and 28 Oct). Yesterday and today not NSD as had to "sub" my darling wife some money, as miraculously when she needed some.... her purse was empty :rotfl::rotfl:. Still she has promised to go to the Cashpoint later so I should get (some of) it back.... I hope
.
Financially, have hit the monthly lull, waiting to pay some debts down early next week, then after it will be payday. Yesssss :T:T
Unlike many DFWers', I prefer to hold the money as long as possible then make one big payment just before the bill is due...hence the monthly lull. Still hopefully next week will have some positive news to report. At least the Sun is shining, time for a walk before work this PM.
Have a great day everyone..

Hello Diary,
Just checking in to report some progress. I have just paid £650 to the dreaded Ha***ax card (C/C3). Signature below updated. Just one more month to go with that, then I can turn my full attention to the family loan :j
Financial matters are always on my mind nowadays, although during November I have been very lax in counting my NSD's, I know I have had a good no. of NSDs' but am unable to declare a total for the month...Stupid Boy!!
Xmas is now fast approaching, but should be OK as have already told family I am having a lean mean financial xmas. I think one or two of them were secretly pleased with this, as it meant they could also reign in their spending without having to declare why.
Roll on next week, payday ....rich for a nanosecond :rotfl:

Hello Diary,
Happy New Year Everyone. I have been missing in action recently, but am pleased to report that I have today paid £650 to C/C 3 which has now cleared it completely.
I have also rechecked how much I owe on the family loan and been told that it is in fact £3,150. So that's a good start to 2014. My Signature is now updated to reflect this.
Unfortunately, it is not all good news as I will have my potential Overtime hours per month cut at Work soon. At the moment, I am able to pay £650 per month to pay down my negative wealth. However, from February I will only be able to pay £150. This is very disappointing, but luckily I can still balance the books each month and I have a small emergency fund to cover annual bills such as Car Insurance, Road Tax and TV Licence.
I still have a large bank loan to service, which I will try to save up to make overpayments on. I want rid of this as soon as I can, but I want to pay the Family loan first. Fortunately, I have no C/C debts now and will ensure it stays that way!!!
One really vital thing to remember about budgeting I learnt the hard way...... NEVER EVER include ANY Overtime (even so called guaranteed overtime!!). I will always run my household on basic "flat" salary in future.
2013 was my LBM, but 2014 will be the year that I learn what "Frugal" really means!!
As always, I wish everyone on here good fortune on their Debt free journeys. Until next time...
Best Wishes

Hello Diary, just dropping by to update you.
I am very pleased to report that I managed to repay the family loan at the end of last month (all £3150 of it). I had been saving but then got a boost from my "13th month of the year" salary (I get paid 4 weekly) which gave me an extra £1150 towards paying it back quickly. I felt very relieved, as I really don't like borrowing money from family members.
However, despite doing something really positive, I have also been a bit silly as I have now have another C/C debt of £770 to pay. Fortunately I have managed to do a 0% balance transfer (6 months period) on to my H**if*x C/C. I have been paid today so have already put aside £400 ready to pay towards it when the bill arrives next month.
I have also saved £365 into my Annual Bills account (Car Ins, Car Servicing/Road Tax, TV licence, House Insurance). My car insurance is due in May and the car will need a service by then, so I have to start budgeting for these from now.......and then of course there is the dreaded Council Tax bill looming !!!
Reflecting back on this diary, its amazing because I realised that I have already paid over £5,000 in debt payments (excluding the bank loan) since Sept 2013. I am determined that once I have paid off H**if*x c/c that I will save a Rainy day/Emergency Fund.
That's all for now
Kind regards

Hi Sista,
Thanks for dropping by. Yes, I am very happy that I am continuing to make progress. However, its now going to get a lot harder as I need to figure out how to overpay the bank loan. I seem to remember the bank will only accept extra payments of £1000 minimum and I have to go into the branch to make them.
However, for now I must repay C/C and save an Emergency fund as soon as possible....then I will tackle the loan.
I am thrilled to see you are so close now to becoming DF. really well done.
Kind regards
