virgin media what a shower

virgin media cut off my telephone 3 weeks ago ? no contact with me just cut it off!!! billed paid by direct debit along with broadband (broadband still ok )
called them to ask why, had to use mobile to do so due to being cut off...see above. after many minutes finally got through and guess what they didnt know why. asked me all the usual scripted stupid question like do you have a phone plugged in. They arranged an engineer to visit on the next saturday with the threat of a £10.00 fine if i wasnt in between 08:00 and 12.00. NO show from engineer, called them again and they told me they had cancelled engineer but didnt know why and didnt bother to inform me!!
Called them again to speak to a manager but none were available surprise surprise, was told the would raise the level of enquiry so a manager would deal with it and call back next day. next day no call ,next day no call. phoned again by which time mobile costs going up!!! told that the last person i spoke to hadnt raised my complaint, told again a manager would call, youve guessed didnt call. phoned again 2 days ago told that it would take 3 days for a manager to call me and I should have known this !!!
so no phone for 3 weeks being charged for the service I cant use, £30.00 on mobile costs for calling them and still no closer to finding why THEY cut me off to start with ! what a poor customer service they have !!!!!

lol was told it didnt work like that and they couldnt be charged,
tried to cancel the phone last night, finally given up trying to get a response from them. Again on my mobile at my cost, got the number for the cancellation line then after 10 minutes they cut me off with a message saying they were too busy to take my call at this time, cant even cancel the phone !!!
you wonder why companies lose business hand over fist, they obviously dont need the money, if any manager from virgin reads this please explain

Hi Acehole, I had sooo many problems with NTHell that i ended up cancelling my phone and just have my mobile now (vodafone).
Anyway when i was having problems i found a number for their head office..you go through to a switchboard, say you want to speak to someone to complain about not having your services and for the non callbacks and no enginer and you'll get put through to a manager who will sort it out..
they did for me but i gave it up as a matter of principle :)
Heres the number i used 01256 752000...ive also found this freephone number 0800 0520800 but i have'nt tried it but its meant to be for the same department....make sure you stress to them how bad they have been,
no calls/no help/staying in but no one turns up. Then threaten to cancel altogether and go with BT or someone and they will offer you reduced phoneline/BB and other incentives..I was given free line rental for a year after my complaint to that number :D
    Hope this helps.
    Good Luck!

cancel your DD and when they call you to chase they can sort out the phone at there cost.

also, why waste money calling, email and demand a call back.

least when you get no-where you wont have wasted loads of credit :)

good luck sorting this by the way

lol, if you have read the above you will know what a shower they are but it does get worse ! managed in the end to finally speak to someone who said they were a manager. They still couldnt tell me why the phone had been cut off, but were on the case lol. told them to cancel the phone due to service mentioned above. they told me that it would be cancelled on the 14th of this month. Guess what? hasnt been cancelled and they have taken another months money for a service I lost 2 months ago, what a star company. So the calls will start again. If any staff of virgin media read these things feel free to reply
