Triple-search.com

Hi

I downloaded something from Bleeping Computer, and am now in a worse state! I think it downloaded something the same time, whenever I open a new tab on explorer it defaults to Triple-search.com, not google.

Tried scanning with Malwarebytes, Super anti spyware and Kaspersky, not found anything.

Has anyone got any ideas?

Sorted, AdwCleaner removed it, which was what I wanted in the first place

Perhaps you didn't go to the correct site first, but hey I wouldn't really know. But have you got more than one real-time scanner active?

Like this below (except I also use Adblockplus in Firefox) and they have to get some revenues too since there is no such thing as a free lunch. I feel it may be a user error but how can I tell ....unless the download now @BleepingComputer is blocked by the Adware

Yeah, ironically I followed a link on MSE! It took me to the correct page, but I think there was an advert above the link, before I knew it had already downloaded.

Bit naughty having software like that on that page though

Can you recall the link perhaps? Someone will check it out, I would be surprised if it was advertised and / or installed by bleepingcomputer

I think I just clicked on the advert above it too be honest, when I went back to it it downloaded normally.

Something I have noticed though is google isnt just google.co.uk, it has a load of characters after it. Does it do that anyway?
