Ikea gone down hill?

Just received an Ikea coffee table brought on-line and tried to contact them at 19.55 only to be told the lines close a 20.00. anyone else have any problems like that with them?

I'm beginning to think that I have lost my grasp of the English language. I know the words are in English, but am lost trying to fathom out the meaning?

so Ikea going downhill because no one answered a telephone 5 minutes before they closed.

I would like to know when was the OP Ikeas only customer?

Yes their lines would close at 8pm, but most likely for the last 1 hr they would not have their full staff to answer phones as not many calls would be expected that time of night.
So lets say they have 2 staff to answer calls and they are both on calls to other customers, then who would answer your call?

never had any issue whatsoever with ikea: I understand the queues will be long and picking something up from the pick up point for larger items or returning anything will take ages, so I am resigned to those facts.
Other than that the staff are great, the products are fine and well priced, just wish the nearest store was a bit nearer!
