Reclaiming PPI from Barclays

Hi

I am in discussions with Barclay regarding PPI on my credit card. The last letter they sent me had a cheque attached for £7 and it says that they believe that they have resolved my PPI complaint.

Is it right? Are they not supposed to send me an offer to accept or reject before they send me a cheque?

Plus how they come up with £7?

Any one else experienced same with them? Any comments please.

    In cases like this it is easier to just payout the amount due.
    Plus how they come up with £7?

    Refund of premiums plus interest (minus any amount previously refunded or paid out on a claim or held back to pay towards arrears, defaults or amounts written off)
