Regular Savings

I am in a fortunate position at the moment, but for family reasons, need to build up savings. For other reasons I don't want to do peer-to-peer or invest in property etc. i just want ordinary savings.
My current savings are in a mix of banks & building societies. I have maximum ISAs and I have a "regular saver" with both First Direct and N&P.
Most of my savings are in a Building Society at 2%.
I can get 2.55% with Saga if I fix for 3 years. I could do that with some of my money, just wanted to see what MSEers think about "gambling" on interest rates staying low.
I am already smiling because 3 years ago I put money in a 5 years fixed rate ISA at 4% (despite friends telling me it was daft!) - but I'm not sure about 2.55% for 3 years now.
opinions please!

Anybody's guess.
I certainly wouldn't go beyond 3 years at current rates.0
