in Credit cards
Hi
I'm looking for a credit card which offers good cashback (or other benefits). I've just been turned down for the Amazon Mastercard. I've checked my credit file on checkmyfile.com and Equifax is showing me as not being on the electoral roll. I added myself to this a few months ago, and is being reported as such on my Callcredit report - I'm guessing its taking a little while to update on Equifax.
Now, my question is, once Equifax has updated the status of my electoral roll, am I ok to re-apply for the same card again or is it too soon? Should I look elsewhere for a reward card?

Most would suggest a 6 month gap between applications with the same provider but certainly I've reapplied and been accepted on a shorter window.
You obviously need to be generally careful how many applications you are making as having a number of them looks negative to future applications (they stay on the CRA and visible to other lenders for 6 months)0
