Evening MSE friends Im here again with my APCOA parking charge notice !!!! but for a change it dose not involve work:j
I recently stayed at Travel Lodge at Heathrow T5, i parked my car in a disabled bay, displayed my blue badeg, left my fellow passengers in the car while I proceeded to check in (25th Augu @ 12:00) i checked twice with the receptionist that it was ok to park in a normal bay if the disabled bays were full and he was very sure in saying yes. I have now received a parking charge notice from APCOA stating I have breached the terms and conditions of the hotel parking-04 use of private parking without making a valid payment... !!!!!! is all this about. Before , at work i have not paid APCOA notices but I am unsure if the same principles apply here, but I have not had a ticket on my parked car because the blue badge was always displayed?? I have 28 days to appeal, obviously I am in the process of writing to both them and Travel Lodge but some expert HELP would be good again;);)

You need to remove this post as it's on the successful complaints thread. Not a discussion thread. Hit 'edit' then 'Go advanced' and delete it then start a new thread instead (if you can't start a new thread wait till tomorrow as there's a glitch affecting some people at the moment).PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Hi ladyluck1970, I've moved your posts out of Coupon-mad's sticky thread and into a new thread where any replies can be kept in one place0

From their web site:-
http://www.travelodge.co.uk/hotels/345/London-Heathrow-Terminal-5-hotel
Parking details
APCOA Parking Services operate the hotel car park on behalf of Travelodge. Guest should be aware that parking on site is limited and is arranged on a first-come, first served basis. Car parking is only available whilst resident at the Travelodge and for up to a maximum of five consecutive nights at a cost of £7.50 per 24 hours. There are 154 spaces available and parking is charged as follows:
Up to 1 hour: £1.00
Up to 2 hours: £2.00
Up to 3 hours: £3.00
Up to 4 hours: £4.00
24 hours: £7.50
Blue Badge holders are exempt from charges. Please ensure you make the reception team aware of your blue badge when checking in.
Refer both hotel and PPC to this and ask charge to be cancelled.0 -

@ ladyluck1970 - Aside from the BB issue, can you confirm the date of the alleged "parking event", the date of the notice itself and the date that you received it?My very sincere apologies for those hoping to request off-board assistance but I am now so inundated with requests that in order to do justice to those "already in the system" I am no longer accepting PM's and am unlikely to do so for the foreseeable future (August 2016).
For those seeking more detailed advice and guidance regarding small claims cases arising from private parking issues I recommend that you visit the Private Parking forum on PePiPoo.com0
