Oh God, I think I have made MYSELF redundant :(

I have ballsed up big time...
A couple of months ago, my company announced that they were "restructuring" the business and potentially cutting thousands of jobs. My immediate manager told me that he thought that my job was at high risk as I am not completely flexible with working hours as I have 2 children.
I panicked and started looking for a different job. I found one, applied and got offered the job. I liked the job based on the week's worth of trials I did so I handed in my notice at the current job. I was told I had to work 12 weeks notice(!) due to my length of service. No problem as I only do 12 hours a week there so could juggle...
However, the new job turned out to be different to what was sold to me in the interview. I was told it would be 3 mornings per week including one alternate weekend morning. This was great for me as it fit in with school hours and would have been easy for me to get childcare in the holidays. However, the manager there started getting arsey with me as someone else handed their notice in and she wanted me to cover their hours, she kept changing agreed rotas, she had a pop at me because I refused to not work my notice at my current job to go and cover them. I had a massive anxiety attack (which I've not had for over 2 years!) and said that I was rejecting the job offer.
I rang my current boss and asked to retract my notice. He said yes as it was at his discretion and he wants me to stay with the company. However, the s**t has hit the fan this week because of the redundancies. HO have said that if I want to stay in the company, I will need to take on a different contract and the hours I just cannot do. So basically, I am being forced out. But I won't have a case for constructive dismissal as they are offering me another job. So I have told them that I have re-retracted my notice! What a mess! I am stressing now big time.
My job will end last week in October. Does anyone know; am I in a position to claim JSA under these circumstances? I haven't been sacked or made redundant but handed in my notice as my job was at risk and I thought I had found alternative employment?! I need some space to breathe and sort myself out and if I can sign on for a couple of months, this would help me massively. I am currently looking for a replacement job but it is hard, as I am sure many of you can appreciate.
I have never signed on before and I am 37. I have paid NI contributions continuously for my working life.
TIA

Are there no out of school clubs/family/childminder your children can go to? That way you can take the new hours and still look for another job (if you want).0

Hi,
Thanks for the reply
I literally have no help with childcare. My parents still work full-time and my husband's mother lives a distance away. School clubs are so expensive that it would be pointless me working (£15 a day for breakfast/after school club!)
The hours that I would be working include being at work until after 9pm so school clubs and childminders would only cover me for a portion of that time.0 -
I very much doubt you would get JSA as you actually quit your job, and not made redundantOwing on CC £00.00 :j
