Trying to import a template in Open Office

I have been trying to import 1/10th inch Cartesian graph paper template into open office. Problem is the template is broken into several parts and it just gets to the stage where there is nothing to open. Cannot seem to import it as a whole.
I am going
File - templates- organise - my templates - commands - import template, then trying to select from the list. I can't select just the folder and can't seem to import anything as the folder just keeps splitting.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you

What do you mean by "the folder keeps splitting"?
If you follow the command sequence you gave above, it should open a File dialog and you navigate to where the template is and then select it.0 -

I do that and select it, but I think I am being dumb. I select the folder (already extracted) and it splits it into it's component parts, if I select any of those it's not having any of it!
I have never tried to import a template to open office before and am aware I may be doing something wrong, I just can't see what yet, will have another play later. What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0
