will trivial pension count as other income

will it affect my working tax credit/child tax credit.of my trivial pension about £10.000 was taxable.

    do you mean £10 or £10,000.

    I would think that it would - have you called and asked them?

    Pensions of most kinds are treated as income.
    £10000 is not trivial.

    £10,000 is not trivial - my husband's teachers' pension is less than that and we have to live on it!

    Best thing to do is call tax credits and ask them.

    sorry i dont think i have expained . my pension went into adminastration due to under funding they concidered my pension as a trivial pension.and i got a one off lump sum of which £10000 was taxable .

    So you received £10,000 less tax?

    You can also read your post as 'I got a one off lump sum of which £10,000 was taxable' Did you get more than £10,000 and only £10,000 was taxable?
    Are you getting a monthly income from pension too?

    I'm no expert but seems whatever you got would affect your tax credits. Aren't they based on income and savings?

    yes i got more but only £10,000 was taxable .no not getting a monthly income from pension.just a one off payment.
