Open it over the phone and you will be given an instant decision and if successful, sort code and account number.
So about 10 - 15 minutes.0 -
For me it was really quick- they opened the account upon me finishing the application form on their website. I received the debit card and other paperwork a few days later.0

For me it was nearly 2 weeks as I had to get a tax coding notice from HMRC, I had one but it was over 3 months old. It will depend upon if you satisfy their ID checks0

I applied online on Saturday and received the paperwork and card this morning!
No complaints here - need to open the Regular Saver now!!

Thanks all, called today but was told it would be the same response time but 10 mins to apply online and 30-40 by phone due to reading out t&c's etc. Applied online and got sort code and account numbers instantly. Have to say that's a much better service and speed than I'm used to!!
