Hi All.
I ordered some flooring from Leaderfloors.co.uk on the 23rd August.
The advert from which i ordered stated in stock, 24 hours delivery.
I was told they didn't have enough and it would be with me a week later and i would be called to arrange delivery.
I waited until the end of the week and phoned back. I was told it had been dispatched and it would arrive on the Tuesday.
Took Tuesday off work, rang up Tuesday morning and told it was on the way and they would ring me back with a time.
Nothing turned up. No call.
Phoned Wednesday, told there had been an admin error and that it hadn't been sent, whats more they didn't have it in stock again as it all went out in the last deliveries? but more was coming in and i would definitely be contacted by the end of the week (last week).
Ok. phoned this morning to talk to the same person i had spoken to last week. he is busy but my number was taken and he will call me back.
So far while dealing with this company I have not had a single call from them in the 3 weeks to let me know anything of delays, no stock or anything else, I have done all the chasing and have lost a days pay.
The only reason i have been this patient is that I really do want this flooring because its for an extension and it will match the original rather than reflooring thrice the area.
A you can imagine i have lost faith in this company now. I will look for another supplier to see if i can find some in stock. but cant re-order whilst this is in limbo and i don't know where i stand.
I paid by Visa Debit. it was taken from my account three weeks ago.
Can anyone advise me how best to deal with this?
Many thanks in advance.
Steve

Raise a chargeback request on your card provider for non-receipt of goods - this is a valid chargeback option, where goods have not been received more than 15 days from order.
Also email the supplier to cancel the order and advise them that you have raised a chargeback.
That's my take. But maybe wait for further advice first?0 -
i would try to write to someone high up in the company asking for the order to be cancelled and a full refund.
if you get nowhere, then you will need to start looking at a chargeback0 -
I have just received a call from them, the first to date.
I'm advised it will be with me tomorrow. so i will take another day off and cross my fingers and will update.0 -

If they've missed confirmed delivery dates and this has had a financial impact for you, then you should be able to reclaim some of that loss.0 -

Great advice

Cancel the order and you give the retailer the right to reject the chargeback on the grounds there was nothing to deliver as the order was cancelled
If you are in the situation of goods not arriving then cancelling is the worst thing you can do.
While legally it is sound advice (would need to take retailer to court to recover funds if not refunded after 30 day)
As far as your card providers go. You NO longer have a non receipt right.
While there is a non receipt of refund option. This requires in writing....
Date of refund, Amount of refund, Last 4 of car number.
Do you think you will ever get that out of a company????Never ASSUME anything its makes a>>> A55 of U & ME <<<0 -
The last line of what you quoted was my caveat to my earlier advice.

The flooring turned up. three weeks late but it did arrive and now its on the floor.
so in this case it a great relief and i don't have odd flooring going into the new extension.
Many thanks for all the advice once again. :beer:0
