Interest Charges

Hi,
I need some advice about barclaycard platinum interest charges on purchases.
I completed a balance transfer with barclaycard and interest charged on that is fixed at 5%.
I have been spending still each month on the card, and have been paying off all of my purchases each month + £300 to clear the debt off.
My question is, if I am off all my purchases should I be being charged interest on both my purchases and balance transfers?
As an example in August my statement was as follows;
Previous balance £5161.03
Purchases £ 1846.42
Payments received £ 2147.00
However i was charged interest as follows;
Interest On Your Standard Balance £23.23
13 Sep 13
Interest On Your Transfer to Bank £15.22
Is this correct, should I be charged interest on both?
Thanks!!

Yes. Interest is only waived if you clear your balance in full.0

I agree - you do not get up to 56 days interest free on purchases unless you clear your balance every month.
IMO it is never a good idea to mix balance transfers and purchases on the same card.0 -
Yeah, first time I've done it. I won't be doing it again!0

The only thing confuses is me, in the last 5 months since the balance transfer 3 months have had interest charged on standard purchases, 2 have not which was august and june and I cannot understand the difference, oh well have contacted them via e-mail see what response I get.0
