Hoping for some IT support here - I opened a new notes page and lost my work in the process. All the icons at the bottom of the notepage are shaded out. Can my work be retrieved?
Also, is there a search function on iPads in general (not just the notes) equivalent to a ctrl+F?
TIA

1 - there should be a button at the top left hand corner of your note page that takes you back to your list of notes, and you should see the other page there.
2 - yes. You need to go to the home screen and scroll to the very leftmost screen. It's called 'spotlight search' and searches most of the content on your iPad.What will your verse be?

Nothing there unfortunately - although it automatically captured the heading when I made the notes. It's the second time it has happened and I am stumped - I didn't think notes could be lost on an iPad.
Also, is there a way of removing the predictive text? It's more of a hindrance than a help and means that I have to spend extra time checking and correcting the work. Does it recognise previously / frequently used words?
Although really handy for quick and easy portable access to the internet, I don't find it otherwise that useful.Value-for-money-for-me-puhleeze!

That's strange. Have you a recent backup that you can restore? If you have iCloud enabled it may have backed up automatically. I've never had this happen and I use notes all the time
Settings > general > keyboard. Auto correct and capitalisation options can be found in there. It does remember previously used words but you have to 'train' it by continually using them. What will your verse be?

In Settings, go to General, Keyboard, auto Correction Click it to off if you don't want this facility. I don't think it is predictive text as such, but It could be annoying when the correct words keep popping up. I like it myself:smileyhea A SMILE COSTS ABSOLUTELY NOTHING0
