Thanks for the replies.
So has anyone who has not transferred their salary and funded it via FP received the £125 bonus?0 -
Can anyone tell me if FD log in can be done with easily remembered passwords, (I hate having to remember customer numbers, (I have to write them down!!).
Also this switching may be easy now, but you surely will still have to seperatly contact your "Incoming" providers, ( I have 4 small pensions), that isnt done for you, is it.(oh and does FD have a "Freephone number?)0 -
I opened a First Account last week for the same purpose - purely to access the Regular Saver... I wasn't planning on getting my salary paid in, simply transferring £1000 in and back - as OP suggests.
I'm quite happy with my Lloyds Vantage account for day-to-day banking.
I'm pretty sure it stated "salary or other credits"... Can someone update when they have the £125 paid by using this method please??:T DEBT FREE AS OF APRIL 2013! :T"I am the master of my fate. I am the captain of my soul"0 -

Yes - you set up your own username, and password. No need for customer numbers.0 -

I did.
You are still paying in your salary ... just not directly from your employer.
If they didn't allow this, then how would the self-employed get any decent bank account?
You can be sure that transferring £1k in and back out each month will work - there's nothing in the T&Cs preventing this.0 -
I got the earlier £100 incentive without transferring my salary0

No need for it to be salary. My £1K was only in the account for seconds, then transferred straight out again. The couple of token direct debits I transferred, I cancelled after a month. Still got the 'bonus'. Best not talking to bank staff, they're not the best informed.0

Thanks all. Will leave the salary in my Lloyds then.0

Funnily enough I was just inquiring about this today.
Speaking of which, I notice this regular saver account at 6% is not mentioned on the savings page. How come? To me it seems like one of the best rates around.
Does anyone know of anything that can beat 6% on up to £3600?
Thanks0 -
