Any chance anyone uses this software as I cant seem to get it to work as my heatsink fan is going some 84375 rpm and I wanna get this down by some margin as its a little loud but yet speedfan says 2637rpm

i use it sometimes. whats reporting your cpu fan to be at: 84375rpm? seems a bit fast. I'd be inclined to believe speedfan. My "quiet" fans run almost silent at around 1000 rpm. Generally Default fans are never that quiet. You could look in the 'pc health' section of the bios. My bios sometimes for no reason, turns off the hardware temperature controlling fans.0

Well PC Wizard is reporting 84375 @ 18c and Speedfan I reporting 2637 @ 17c I do believe speedfan as my case would be taking off by now, lol the main thin I need is a complete muppets guide to setting the CPU fan speed as Its a ikkle noisy. not fantastically noisy but to bring it down a bit would be very nice.
Thanks.0 -

What CPU are you using - both Intel and AMD have basic fan speed control tools built into most modern BIOS - look in the bios for "cool 'n quiet [DISABLED]" or something similar and switch it on.
It should spin down the CPU fan when your not doing much and bring it back up to full pelt when required. Your CPU and Motherboard ambient temps will rise though (but will be well within manufacturers tolerances).0 -

Intel Celeron (PGA 478) 2.4ghz on a Asus P4S533-MX Bios Revision 1006
It does have disable monitoring for heat temps I did try that but nothing happened, I think I must be doing something wrong in the speedfan setup.
Thanks mate0 -
Just did a quick calculation and assuming an 80 mm fan, 84375 rpm would be faster than the speed of sound!!! Never mind your pc taking off,it's achieved Mach 1
I think we can definitely discount that figure on fluid mechanic principles. "She is quite the oddball. Did you notice how she didn't even get excited when she saw this original ZX-81?"
