Harry Potter World

How long does it take to go round the Harry Potter World? I want to take OH there for his birthday and trying to work out times.

We are not the sort of people who rush round as we like to take everything in (we took 4 hours to go round the Bowie exhibition whereas one of our friends did it in an hour and a half!)

    From their FAQs:
How long can I normally expect a visit to last?
We estimate the average Studio Tour to last approximately three and a half hours, although there is no limit imposed on your time at the attraction. Only a small part of the Studio Tour is guided, so you can spend as long as you like viewing the authentic sets, costumes and props from the Harry Potter Film series. Remember that you can also spend time relaxing in our Studio Caf!, or browsing the unique Harry Potter gifts and souvenirs in our shop.

Some friends of mine went and were in there 5 or 6 hours. Most of it is unguided & there's loads to look out apparently.

Thanks for the replies. I think knowing what we are like I will allow roughly 5 hours for our visit

We tend to rush everywhere, so we did it in just over two hours, but several friends of ours who have gone have spent half a day there. it is only the first part of the tour that is guided, past the great hall you just do the tour at your own pace.

We went about 2 weeks ago, our tour was at 13.30 and we left at just gone 5. We didn't rush, lots to see, 1st part (small but GREAT ;)) was guided but the rest you just walk round at your own pace. Once you have gone through a part you can't go back so be sure you have seen everything you wanted to.
