Hi used to gain points through 'Hilton Honors' due to having their 'platinum credit card' in the past. At the time never used an of the points due to never fitting in with the destination I was going too.
Do you have to book your hotel through the 'Hilton' site to gain any benefits of being part of 'Hilton Honors' once at the hotel? Probably do? just checking.
Thank you

you can only spend your points through the Hilton Honors site but your status would be recognised irrespective who you book through

Hi thx for that appreciatedjoe2cool0

I booked an AI at a Hilton through Kuoni and they wouldn't accept my Hilton status at the hotel as I booked through a 3rd party so no points for metravelover0

Pity. To rub it in, its Triple points to end of month.
I am sure you have to book direct to get any hotel points.0 -
You wont get points for booking through many third parties but there are exceptions to that. If you spend in the hotel after booking through a third party you normally can get the points for that additional spend even if you dont get any for the initial booking.
You may or may not get certain status benefits, free upgrades is unlikely if you are Gold or above, breakfast you may or may not get, getting into the club lounge doesnt tend to be a problem nor does free wifi0 -
Yes you have to book direct to get points.
We find the best value is often when you can part pay with points, had some good deals that way.0 -
Cheers guys......joe2cool0
