where can i get the thing to connect my laptop to tv

i want to connect my laptop to tv but dont where to buy a cable thing for it. what is the name of thing i need? how do these things work do i just plug a cable in my laptop and some other cable in to my tv?

According to this page (and I hope it's the correct laptop), you have S-Video output connection. So, you need the same (S-Video) cable. After that you could either connect the S-Video to your TV (or home cinema system) directly, if it supports it, or get a s-video to scart adapter. Sound signal can be fed from the headphones output on the laptop.0

Strange - this page does not list the S-Video connector, but the one I provided does. Can you physically inspect the laptop? Can you see the S-Video connector? It looks like mouse/keyboard connector (PS/2), but with more holes (if I'm not mistaken - 6 small + 1 large).0

yes my laptop does have it on the the back an s video slot . it has 4 small holes and 1 large hole0

I bought a kit on EBay works well.
One point to remember you will have to change your video card software settings, probably best to download the latest drivers and take it from there.
I imagine this page will not helpyou but it was the one I used and will give you an insite into what's involved.
