And having looked at them, I'm surprised your son is even allowed this style shoe for school, it's not a school shoe, it's a casual shoe i.e hanging around bars in, doing a bit of shopping, not the kind of day in day out legwork school children do.
I've just looked too and I would never expect them to last as school shoes! Especially for a boy, they can easily wear out any shoe!If women are birds and freedom is flight are trapped women Dodos?0 -
Just looked aswell really not surprised they have failedFirst Date 08/11/2008, Moved In Together 01/06/2009, Engaged 01/01/10, Wedding Day 27/04/2013, Baby Moshie due 29/06/2019 :T0

Definitely not suitable as school shoes.
Also, absolutely hideous! Could've painted a roll of quilted loo roll black and got the same style :S
Unfortunately, the retailers would probably be able I attribute any damage to misuse, but hopefully they will offer you some sort of remedy out of goodwill if they do.0 -
I completely agree with your comments about not being suitable for school and I did tell him this when he returned home with them. That's exactly why I didn't pay anything towards them. However, to only last 9 days for £80 whether a fashion shoe or school shoe is ridiculous.0

Take the would-be-fashionista-(appropriate ending) to a supermarket & kit him with affordable, likely to survive the term school shoes...
Survive while it's sorted!0 -

My daughters school wouldn't allow these as school shoes, they're fashion shoes.
Why didn't you buy him some school shoes and let him wear these as they were meant to be worn ? At weekends etc. If my son had come home with these, and he'd paid for them himself, i would have taken him out and bought some more appropriate ones for school. I can't see why you're so upset, your son is the one who is 80 quid down. Just buy some proper school shoes now.
And before it's mentioned, yes, i have a son who is 26 so i have had the school uniform chat. My word was always the last one when it came to what i spent my money on.0 -

They were not and did not!
But you have told us that they were not being used for a purpose for which they were designed:dickyseville wrote: »I completely agree with your comments about not being suitable for school and I did tell him this when he returned home with them.
You seem to be telling us that the shoes have been misused.0
