Which paint for bricks below damp course?

I've got two courses of bricks below my damp course in my garage. I'm hesitant to use regular masonry paint below the damp course. What is the best type of paint to use for this situation? Would a bitumen paint be good?

use bedec barn paint , much better than bitumen , doesn't fade , water based , breathable and much more resistant to peeling , cracking etc0

There is a really good product called Sika Prufe. I am doing a garage conversion and used it last week for two bricks below and six brick courses above the DPC. One good coat and job done! I am glad I used it.

By the way for the remainder of the wall I used another product called Cementone liquid damp proof.

It's ok but required at least two coats."I think I spent 72.75% of my life last year in the office. I need a new job!!"0
